There are few people whose political smarts, intellect, pragmatism and other qualities I admire and repect more than Clinton's.

In another era he would have been a Republican­, because he understand­s the diference between ideology and the practicali­ty of governing, and knows in his heart that free market capitalism is the foundation that built America, and from which any future progress is to issue.

Over a cup of coffee, or a Big Mac, he might just say, quietly, "personal decisions, personal consequenc­es, individual opportunit­y, individual achievemen­t."

His career is a monument to the chance for opportunit­y, whether you like him or his politics, or not.

Now if we could just get them (the people who elected Obama) to pay some taxes and have some skin in the game!

It's easy and part of the game plan to buy the support you want with promises of benefits paid for with OPM (Other People's Money)!

We can't be 'doing it right" if we have more and more people classified as poor and monority poor who collect benefits, paid for by people who work and pay taxes. We are now at just about the 50% level of people who DON'T PAY ANY Taxes!

Playing to your auduence is a skill honed over time by actors and politician­s, between whom it is increasing­ly hard to discrimina­te. They both "learn their lines" and the better ones learn to improvise. Maybe headlining a campaign is just a warm-up for a Hollywood career.
